Friends of all, since in my office again there are projects for online reporting, I was asked to create a project intranet website. After searching for references I finally chose to use the CMS Joomla. To be able to share with colleagues, I also post about Joomla following types of local servers that I use. Hopefully Helpful Friend ....
Joomla as a Content Management Systtem (CMS) which is used as the building blocks of the blog or weblog, ranging from simple to very complex website like WordPress, Drupal, PHP-Nuke, XOOPS and much more.

Joomla as an Open Source CMS is a product that features a complete, stable, reliable and usually made from a server side script is licensed open source as well.

To create a CMS tool and it takes a particular scripts. Here are tools and scripts that run under Windows operating systems:

    
Web browser (Fire Fox)
    
Web Server (Apache)
    
Database Server (MySQL)
    
Script Engine (PHP)
    
Script Editor (Dreamweaver)
    
Upload Software (WAS FTP Pro)
    
Script CMS (Joomla Server)

Joomla is a development of the Mambo open source project, which was often referred to as the Mambo Open Source or MOS. Joomla now comes with a new version that much different from Joomla version 1.0. The new Joomla Joomla 1.5 is given a name which till now has reached version 1.5.10.
Ok, more ... It is better if we know the first structure of an important file that is located in the root directory of Joomla server, namely:

  •  index.php is the main file to display a web page of Joomla. Some of the settings contained in this file joomla. If we access this file, we open the front page of Joomla website. 
  •  configuration.php, is a file that is formed when we do Joomla installation process. In this file there are settings for connection to the database, and other important settings. If the file is corrupted, Joomla website will not work.
  • copyright.php, this file contains the copyright Joomla CMS website, although it is more properly called copyleft.
  • license.php, this file contains information about licensing Joomla CMS website.
  • mainbody.php, this is the supporting files are very important in regulating the news display in Joomla website.
  • pathway.php, a file that serves to illustrate the sequence of process applications in Joomla.

Here is a Joomla directory structure, which consists of:
  • Administrator, this is a special directory administrator for the management of Joomla websites. Starting from the installation process module, component, mambot, language until the whole web manitenance process. 
  • Cache, a special directory that serves to store data temporarily in the user's computer, the goal is to accelerate the process of loading the web if it is opened at another time. Its function is similar to computer memory.
  • Components, is a directory where to save all the components installed on your Joomla website.
  • Editor, a special directory to store various editors installed on a Joomla website.
  • Help, a special directory to display help if we find a constraint in using Joomla.
  • Images, is the directory where the file-image file for purposes of Joomla website.
  • Includes, this is a directory of support for Joomla other applications.
  • Instalation, the directory used in the process of installing Joomla website. If the installation is complete, this directory should be removed for web security considerations in the future.
  • Language, a special directory to accommodate the kinds of language that can be used in Joomla website. So that we can create a multilingual website.
  • Mambots, a directory to hold the additional tool of Joomla. For example, images mos, mos pagebreak, and others.
  • Media, a directory that is destined to save and upload the files into a Joomla website, either pictures or text files.
  • Modules, a place to store the modules are installed in Joomla website.
  • Templates, a place to store all the templates installed on your Joomla website.

Here are important terms in Joomla, among others:
  • Module, function units are part of Joomla that is useful for displaying the main features of Joomla as well as featuring some of the related components. By default, Joomla provides several modules, such as: 
  • Component, is an application that adds value to Joomla. A component has a configuration in the administration window. For example weblink component, contact forms, polls and so forth.
  • Mambots, a unit of the inserted Joomla functions to manipulate or translate content that is processed before being displayed. As Mambots Editors, Mos Image, and others.
  • Template, an application that serves to regulate the overall look of Joomla websites. This template is similar to the term in the WordPress Theme. In this template are arranged so that the website can perform according to our wishes.
  • Content, all news / article / module / component contained in the website as a whole.

Here is the application to support Joomla, among others:
  • PHP applications, PHP applications is absolutely necessary as Joomla itself is created using PHP programming language. This PHP application you can download at its official website, or directly to http://www.php.net/downloads.php www.php.net.
  • Apache Web Server, because Joomla using PHP programming language, it takes a server to support the application. PHP is a web programming language that is server side. Application servers required by Joomla is Apache. Please download at www.apache.org or directly to http://httpd.apache.org/download.cgi.
  • MySQL database, which is the choice of a place to store all Joomla web content. MySQL is a Relational Database Management System are licensed GNU / GPL and can be downloaded for free at www.mysql.som. While the download link or at http://dev.mysql.com.
To make it easier than downloading one by one application on top of all that is needed, currently there are many outstanding software that is multi-application, meaning that with a single install, a third above the required applications directly installed and configured properly. Its application is WAMP (Windows Apache Mysql and PHP) that can be downloaded at www.wampserver.com.
